Make a big impact with a few plants
It won’t cost you a bundle to make this show-stopping container. All you need are five Tidal Wave® Red Velour petunias (Petunia hybrid), a 14-in. container and a roll of wire fencing. You can adapt the idea to whatever size container you have. If you can’t find the Tidal Wave series, Wave®, Supertunia™ and Surfinia® also grow large enough to climb a trellis. Plant the petunias first so they get settled in. About a week later, form the fencing into a tube just a little smaller than the diameter of the container. Hold the ends together with zip ties and push it into the potting mix several inches to keep it in place. Feed the petunias weekly for lots of flowers and strong growth.
