Nearly perfect phlox!
‘Jeana’ garden phlox (Phlox paniculata) is covered in sweetly fragrant lavender-pink blooms for up to two months in mid- to late summer. Plant it in the middle of an island bed or toward the back of a border: Growing 3 to 5 feet tall, ‘Jeana’ makes a great backdrop for shorter perennials and adds color in front of a privacy fence. Eastern tiger swallowtails, as well as other butterflies and hummingbird moths, are attracted to the nectar-rich blooms.
