Simple seed storage

By: Garden Gate staff
Here’s an easy way to safely store seeds for next year.

Simple seed storage

Here’s a snappy way to store seeds: Use empty plastic gum containers. Flip open the top lid when you’re collecting seed from the plant — the wide mouth makes gathering easier. The smaller opening on the side dispenses just a few seeds at a time for planting.

Simply write the plant name on the container with a permanent marker to label what’s inside. You can even decorate the plastic with patterned tape, like you see here.
