DIY must-try

By: Garden Gate staff
Here’s a creative way to reuse plastic bottles that will make outdoor lights even more beautiful.

DIY must-try

Twinkle lights don’t have to hang bare!

Cut 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of a 12-oz. bottle. Then just poke a ¼-inch hole in the center of each bottle bottom with a nail or drill, making it large enough that the fixture holding the light fits snugly into it.

For the ones at left, we used the molded pattern near the bottom as a cutting guide and a band saw to make the smooth, even cuts.
