Raise containers up!
Instead of grinding the stump out when you remove a tree, try leaving part of it in place. This creates a unique way to display container combos, just like the grouping at left. These pedestals add height to containers, too, putting them up closer to eye level.
The Eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) here was left at about 4 ft. high, and the trunk was cut into various lengths. Since they’re cedar, these stands will last for years without any sealant.
