Get lots of blossoms!
Do your morning glories have lush foliage but little else? It might sound strange, but don’t feed them. Fertilizing actually makes the plant produce lots of green leaves but few blooms.
To get beautiful blossoms like the ones here, remember morning glories flower best in full sun and lean soil. Just give them a sturdy support to twine onto. For a list of other vines that don’t need feeding, click ahead!
More flower-covered vines!
Just like morning glories, these annual vines like plenty of sunlight and grow and flower best if the soil is not humus-rich:
• Black-eyed Susan vine Thunbergia alata
• Canary creeper Tropaeolum peregrinum
• Cypress vine Ipomoea quamoclit
• Hyacinth bean Lablab purpureus
• Moonflower Ipomoea alba
