Recycle and reuse
Recycling in the garden is a win-win situation. Reusing old materials saves on the cost of hauling them away, plus you create something that’s beautiful and one-of-a-kind!
Make a retaining wall like the one here with recycled concrete. Sort the pieces by size, using the largest ones for the lower layers. Pick pieces with similar thicknesses for each layer and turn them rough side up on the top row to create the look of rustic stone. A small sledge hammer works well for fine-shaping finishing touches.
