Quick seedling cover

By: Garden Gate staff
This must-try tip will protect your vegetables from hungry critters!

Quick seedling cover

Don’t find another veggie plant that’s been nibbled away! With this easy netting system, you’ll stop critters from devouring or digging up your seedlings. And it only takes a few supplies: small stakes, mesh onion bags and landscape pins. Here’s how to put it all together:

Step 1: Push a stake into the ground, next to the plant that needs protection — we used bamboo.

Step 2: Slip an onion bag over the top of both.

Step 3: Secure the bottom of the bag with landscape pins, just like we did here.

Now the animals that were bothering your vegetables will leave them alone.
