Easygoing beauty!
Of all the easy-care and disease-resistant Knock Out® shrub roses, there’s only one with fragrant flowers — bright Sunny Knock Out!
Just give it a spot in full sun with well-drained soil and it grows 3 to 5 ft. tall and 3 to 4 ft. wide. From spring to frost Sunny Knock Out’s single flowers — up to five per stem — open rich yellow and fade to cream, just like you see here. The 3-inch blossoms have an old-fashioned rose fragrance with citrusy notes, perfect for planting near a bench or patio.
With a slightly more upright habit than other roses in the same series, Sunny Knock Out is just as disease-resistant against blackspot, common rust and powdery mildew.
Just prune leggy or damaged branches in late winter to early spring. It responds especially well to being cut back by producing lots of new growth. Sunny Knock Out is cold-hardy in USDA zones 5 to 11 and heat-tolerant in AHS zones 11 to 1.
