Cardboard seedling pots

By: Garden Gate staff
Before throwing away cardboard, check out this great way to reuse it in your garden!

Cardboard seedling pots

Fill little cereal boxes with soil and you have an inexpensive and biodegradable pot for seedlings. They’ll tear off easily for planting, and you can mix the leftover pieces into your compost. The cereal boxes here and other cardboard food packaging have safety standards to adhere to, so the inks and glues should be OK for the compost.
