This low-maintenance combo does best in part shade, where you won’t have to worry about staying on top of too many tasks, aside from watering — these plants like evenly moist soil.
A – Wizard™ Pineapple coleus (Solenostemon) Tender perennial; lavender-blue flowers from late summer to frost; yellow-green foliage; part to full shade; 12 to 14 in. tall, 10 to 12 in. wide; cold-hardy in USDA zones 10 to 11, heat-tolerant in AHS zones 12 to 1
B – ‘Blue Mist’ bluebeard (Caryopteris x clandonensis) Shrub; blue flowers from late summer to fall; full sun; 2 to 3 ft. tall and wide; cold-hardy in USDA zones 5 to 8, heat-tolerant in AHS zones 8 to 1
