Upcycled flower vases

Choose unique vases that are as charming as your fresh-cut flower arrangements.

Upcycled flower vases

Arranging a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers from the yard? It’s nice to have a variety of vessels on hand. Check out thrift stores and garage sales for pitchers, bottles and other items that make unique, affordable vases.

Plus, you can match the design and style of the vase with the flowers you’re going to use. The vintage coffee can here has a similar color scheme and cottage charm as the colorful zinnias (Zinnia elegans). Just trim stems so they’re proportionate to the size of the vase you choose.

Inside a container that could rust or leak, set in a smaller jar to hold the water and stems, just like you see in the inset.
