Grow the tastiest kale
Looking for a crop that will do great in the still-cool weather of spring? Just like other edibles in your garden, you can choose a variety of kale based on the flavors you like and how you prefer to use it.
For example, ‘Curly’ and ‘Redbor’ are great in soups, pasta sauce or for making kale chips. ‘Baby Tuscan’ is a tender and mild cut-and-come-again type. Dinosaur, or Lacinato, is more tender and a good choice for eating raw in salads or a quick saute.
Plus, they add a variety of colors and textures, like you see here!
