Bring in the butterflies!
Butterflies aren’t just natural pollinators — they’re beautiful visitors to your garden! Even if lots of their flowering favorites grow in your yard, you can draw a few more to the deck or patio for a better look. It’s easy to do with the recipe ahead.
After you’ve combined the ingredients, pour the liquid onto a sponge or paper towel in a saucer. You can even sprinkle some over a dish of sand or soil. Then set it in a sunny spot so lots of butterflies land for a nutrient-rich drink.

After it cools, add 2 Tbsp. of regular soy sauce. (Soy sauce? Yes! It has amino acids and enzymes that will help keep butterflies healthy.)
