This sun-loving container looks good from spring to first frost. Keep it watered though, since this hanging basket is only 10 in. square and dries out quickly. Deadheading geraniums helps keep the flowers coming. Remove spent blooms by following the stem down to its base and pinching it off. Globe amaranth flowers last a long time but if they start to look tired just cut them back, and if the petunias get too long, cut them back to where they look good.
White flowers look good even by moonlight. But if you hang this basket against a house with white siding, choose bright-colored geraniums and petunias so you’ll be able to see the flowers.
