Here's how to get the most flowers from Endless Summer hydrangea!

Get more flowers

Not many blooms on your Endless Summer bigleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla)? Don’t give up yet! First, wait until you see new leaves sprouting in spring before you trim off any old flowers or winter damage. Even then, prune as little as possible. Early blooms come from the previous year’s growth and only occur in areas where the stems don’t die back in winter. If you get early summer flowers, cut them off when they finish to encourage a second flowering. But never cut back any growth in fall — even leave the late summer flowers on the stems.

Check out the table below to see what else might cause disappointing flowering.
