Weeding solution

Make weeding easier when you free up both hands!

Cut the bottom ring off an old tomato cage so the legs remain a few inches long. Then hang a plastic grocery bag from the largest ring at the top and push the shortened cage into the ground next to you, just as you see at left. Clip the bag to the cage with two clothespins to help keep it in place as weeds get pushed down.

As you finish weeding one area, just move the bag holder along with you, sticking it into the soil in the next spot.
