Vivid color in cool shade!

By: Garden Gate staff
Your shady spot just got so much more exciting! Fill your container with this simple pink-and-white plant combo for something stunning all summer long.

Container care doesn’t get much simpler than pairing up these two plants! Easy fuchsia and impatiens create an eye-catching mix of colors. And notice how full these plants look? Both are vigorous growers that fill out quickly, for high impact in a hurry.

Give this combo morning sun, with shade in afternoon heat. Besides part shade, both fuchsia and impatiens like moist, well-drained soil. Fuchsia is a heavier feeder, though, so plant into a larger nursery container and double pot it. This way, it’s easy to lift out when it’s time for a weekly dose of water-soluble fertilizer.
