The Well-Groomed Hedge

If you’re just starting out with a newly planted hedge, you probably can’t wait for it to reach maturity. You want the wind protection, or that view of the neighbor’s garage screened from your patio, as soon as possible. When it comes to growing a full and dense hedge, it’s best to start with small plants so you can get them to fill out and shape up properly. But they’ll need time to grow and some special pruning. I’ll show you how to groom a young hedge to get it off to a good start.
